New Call for Applications to the NeuroResearchers Fund - deadline 16th April 2011

March 2011

Following the successful funding of 10 early-years researchers (totalling £6,455) in 2010, we are delighted to announce that we are now seeking applications for 2011. The purpose of the fund is to help further the career development of early-years researchers, but it should also bring added benefit to research in the wider Edinburgh Neuroscience community.

The following are examples of proposals that will be considered:

  1. Study visits to establish new research collaborations (up to £3000)
  2. Training visits to international quality laboratories or research groups to learn new techniques not available in Edinburgh (up to £3000). Please note, these visits are primarily for the purposes of training and learning new skills, not research.
  3. Workshops in Edinburgh aimed at members of the Edinburgh Neuroscience community; these should promote interdisciplinarity and must be organised by the applicant (up to £500)
  4. Travel to summer schools (up to £500)

All applications need to be interdisciplinary and benefit the wider neuroscience community at Edinburgh. Application forms and instructions are now available on the Edinburgh Neuroscience website: http://www.edinburghneuroscience.ed.ac.uk/NeuroresearchersFund
