Stem Cells and Neurodegenerative Disease course wins University Teaching Award

Congratulations to Dr David Hampton, a senior post-doc in Siddharthan Chandran’s lab. The course he organises, “Stem Cells, Neurodegenerative Diseases and Models”, won “Best Course” at the Edinburgh University Students’ Association (EUSA) Teaching Awards.

The course is for 4th year honours neuroscience students and aims to provide students with a critical understanding of dementias and neurodegenerative diseases including motor neurone disease.

More than 2500 nominations were received for the awards, which are separated into 13 categories. David (fifth from right below) collected his award at a ceremony attended by more than 100 staff and students.
