The Sandy Barclay Memorial Fund for MND Research
May 2010
The Sandy Barclay Memorial Fund for MND Research has been made possible through the fundraising efforts of the Barclay Family and the Ballater Charitable Chiels who have cumulatively raised over £35,000 for research into MND at the Euan MacDonald Centre in Edinburgh.
The funds raised by the Barclay Family and the Chiels, in memory of Sandy Barclay, will help fund early career researchers in the field of MND research by supplying PhD students and Post-doctoral fellows with a range of resources which are critical to our research efforts. These include small grants, training costs and day to day research resources.
Currently, the funding available for the Sandy Barclay Memorial Fund for MND Research is £35,000 and this will be spent over the coming years. In the event that more funding is raised by the Barclay Family and the Charitable Chiels this can be added to the Sandy Barclay Memorial Fund and administered yearly.
The Euan MacDonald Centre are honoured to acknowledge that The Sandy Barclay Memorial Fund for MND Research has been made possible by the fundraising efforts of The Charitable Chiels and the Barclay Family.
