£10,000 gift to the Euan MacDonald Centre
A grateful client of law firm Mishcon de Reya has come up with a unique way of rewarding staff who were working on a successful case. He donated £60,000 to the three staff members with whom he had worked and stipulated that this gift should be split up and donated to specific projects or charities which had personal resonance for the staff members involved. Trainee lawyer, Niki Stephens, who has a close family friend with MND, contacted the Euan MacDonald Centre after she saw the press coverage on Dr Catherina Becker's projects. After a meeting with Professor Siddharthan Chandran, she was keen that £10,000 was allocated to the Euan MacDonald Centre and Catherina's project.We are immensely grateful to Niki, her anonymous client and to Mishcon de Reya for this particularly thoughtful support for Motor Neurone Disease Research.
