Mrs. Betty Grant and her two friends, Mrs. Diane Clinkscale and Mrs. Carolyn Stewart handed over a very generous donation to Prof. Siddharthan Chandran, the director of The Euan MacDonald Centre, yesterday for £1,250. 

The ladies organised a fundraising lunch in the Borders in memory of their dear friend, Mrs. Fran Maloney, who had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease shortly before passing away. Many of Fran's local community and work colleagues contributed to and turned out at Darnick Village Hall on the day and the event was a great success.
